Hinweis: Wir feilen noch ein wenig an den Turnierformaten – es wird also noch kleine Änderungen geben. So stellen wir sicher, dass die Punktevergabe richtig groß ausfällt und trotzdem der Spielspaß für Einsteiger garantiert bleibt.

Main Tournament
Anzahl Spieler geschätzt 280
Freitag: Qualifikation (Jeder kann teilnehmen)
Modus: Best Card (5 aus 20)
- Du spielst eine Card.
- Du darfst dir für diese Card aus einem Pool von 20 Geräten 5 Stück aussuchen.
- Diese spielst du, um die höchste Punktezahl zu erreichen.
- Nach jedem Spiel (3 Kugeln) pro Gerät, meldest du dich und ein Scorekeeper kommt zu dir, um deine Punkte zu notieren.
- Sobald du deine 5 Geräte gespielt ist deine „Card“ abgeschlossen.
- Die besten 50% der „Cards“ qualifizieren sich für die die Hauptrunde (maximal 128 Spieler*innen).
Samstag: Hauptrunde – Top 128 (oder weniger, abhängig von der Gesamtteilnehmerzahl)
Modus: 9 rounds group matchplay + IFPA Scoring Tiebreak
- Du spielst in einer 4er-Gruppe insgesamt 9 Runden an verschiedenen Geräten. Hierfür erhältst du für jedes Spiel je nach deiner Platzierung (7-5-3-1) Punkte.
- Platz 1 = 7 Pkt.
- Platz 2 = 5 Pkt.
- Platz 3 = 3 Pkt.
- Platz 4 = 1 Pkt.
- Sollten mehrere Spieler*innen nach den Runden die gleiche Anzahl Punkte haben, kommt es zu einem Stechen (Tiebreak).
Nach diesem Modus kommen die besten 32 Spieler*innen weiter.
Samstag: Finale – Top 32
Modus: Group Elimination, 3 games IFPA scoring
- Du spielst in einer 4er-Gruppe insgesamt 3 Runden an verschiedenen Geräten. Hierfür erhältst du für jedes Spiel je nach deiner Platzierung (7-5-3-1) Punkte.
- Platz 1 = 7 Pkt.
- Platz 2 = 5 Pkt.
- Platz 3 = 3 Pkt.
- Platz 4 = 1 Pkt.
- Sollten mehrere Spieler*innen nach den Runden die gleiche Anzahl Punkte haben, kommt es zu einem Stechen (Tiebreak).
- Platz 1 & 2 kommen in die nächste Runde, Platz 3 & 4 scheiden aus.
- Das geht über Runde der 32 → Runde der 16 → Viertelfinale → Halbfinale → Finale

Classic Tournament
20 Stunden Unlimited Qualifying – Jeder kann mitmachen!
Certified+ (Event-Booster durch die IFPA – International Flipper Pinball Association)
Freitag/Samstag: Qualifikation (jeder kann teilnehmen)
Modus: Beste Card (5 aus 11)
- Du kannst am Freitag und Samstag am Qualifying teilnehmen.
- Du spielst pro Card 5 Geräte aus einem Pool von 11 Geräten.
- Deine beste Card geht in die Wertung ein.
- Die besten 32 Cards kommen in die nächste Runde.
- Deine Card kaufst du direkt vor Ort und meldest deine Geräte an.
Sonntag: Top 32

Women Tournament
Auf der diesjährigen German Pinball Open möchten wir erneut zeigen, dass das Flippern auch bei den Frauen einen sehr großen Anreiz findet.
Wir werden am Freitag die Qualifikation für die Frauen starten und das GPO Woman Tournament ausspielen.
Freitag: Qualifikation
Modus: Best card
- Du spielst 2 Cards. Pro Card darfst du dir aus einem Pool von 10 Geräten 6 Stück aussuchen.
- Diese spielst du, um die höchste Punktezahl zu erreichen. Nach jedem Spiel (3 Kugeln pro Gerät), meldest du dich und ein Scorekeeper kommt zu dir, um deine Punkte zu notieren.
- Sobald du deine 6 Geräte gespielt ist deine „Card“ abgeschlossen.
- Die beste Card wird gewertet.
- Die besten 8 Cards qualifizieren sich für die die Hauptrunde (Top 8 Final).
Fereitag: Top 8 Final
Modus: Group Elimination, 3 Spiele, IFPA scoring
- Du spielst in einer 4er-Gruppe an insgesamt 3 Geräten (1x EM, 1x 80/90er, 1x 2010+). EM= Elektromechanischer Flipper, Ein Flipper aus den 80er und 90er Jahren und ein neueres Model ab dem Jahre 2010.
- Hierfür erhältst du für jedes Spiel je nach deiner Platzierung (7-5-3-1) Punkte.
- Platz 1 = 7 Pkt.
- Platz 2 = 5 Pkt.
- Platz 3 = 3 Pkt.
- Platz 4 = 1 Pkt.
- Die besten beiden Spielerinnen jeder Gruppe kommen in die Finalrunde, welcher im selben Modus gespielt wird.

Kids Tournament
Jedes Kind im Alter von 3-13 Jahren darf teilnehmen. Die Teilnahme ist kostenlos.
Modus: Best card Qualifikation
- Anmeldung am Freitag, Samstag und Sonntag vor Ort
- Vorrunde best Card an 3 Flipper
Modus: Spiel in 2 Gruppen
- Aufteilung in 2 Gruppen für den großen und den kleinen deutschen Kinder-Meister
- Spielmodi wird abhängig der Anzahl der Kinder vor Ort gewählt

Charity Tournament
GPO Charity Tournament
Ihr könnt das ganze Wochenende an dem Charity-Flipper für einen guten Zweck spielen und unterstützt dadurch ein soziales Projekt in Bielefeld.
Es ist ein Highscore-Turnier ohne IFPA-Wertung. D.h. ihr müsst euch nicht registrieren, ihr könnt einfach drauf losspielen, um den Highscore zu knacken!
Derjenige, der am Ende der Veranstaltung den Grand Champion für sich hat, erhält ein kleine Überraschung von der GPA im Rahmen der Tombola.

Format: Best Card (5 out of 20)
- You play one card.
- For this card, you may choose 5 machines from a pool of 20.
- You play these machines to achieve the highest possible score.
- After each game (3 balls per machine), you report your result and a scorekeeper will record your points.
- Once you have played your 5 machines, your “card” is complete.
- The best 50% of the cards qualify for the main round (up to a maximum of 128 players).
Saturday: Top 128 (or fewer, depending on total participants)
Format: 9 Rounds Group Matchplay + IFPA Scoring Tiebreak
- You play 9 rounds in 4‑player groups on different machines.
- For each game, you earn points based on your placement (7-5-3-1).
- 1st place = 7 points
- 2nd place = 5 points
- 3rd place = 3 points
- 4th place = 1 point
- If multiple players have the same total points after all rounds, a tiebreak will be played..
- After this stage, the top 32 players advance.
Saturday: Top 8 Final
Format: Group Elimination, 3 games, IFPA scoring
- You play 3 games in a 4‑player group on different machines.
- For each game, you earn points based on placement (7-5-3-1).
- 1st place = 7 points
- 2nd place = 5 points
- 3rd place = 3 points
- 4th place = 1 point
- If multiple players have the same total points after the 3 games, a tiebreak will be played
- 1st & 2nd place advance to the next round, 3rd & 4th place are eliminated
- The progression is: Round of 32 → Round of 16 → Quarterfinals → Semifinals → Final

- You can purchase your card directly on site and register your devices.
Sunday: Top 32

- The top 32 players compete head-to-head (1 vs. 1).

German Pinball Open – Women’s Tournament
At this year’s German Pinball Open, we once again want to highlight that pinball also holds great appeal among women.
On Friday, we will start the women’s qualification and play out the GPO Women’s Tournament.
Friday: Qualification
Format: Best Card
- You play 2 cards.
- For each card, you may choose 6 machines from a pool of 10.
- You play these machines to achieve the highest possible score.
- After each game (3 balls per machine), you report your result and a scorekeeper will record your points.
- Once you have played your 6 machines, your “card” is complete.
- Only your best card will count.
- The best 8 cards qualify for the main round (Top 8 Final).
Friday: Top 8 Final
Format: Group Elimination, 3 Games, IFPA Scoring
- You play in a group of 4 across 3 machines:
- 1x EM (Electromechanical pinball)
- 1x from the 1980s/1990s
- 1x modern machine (2010+)
- For each game, you earn points based on placement (7-5-3-1):
- 1st place = 7 points
- 2nd place = 5 points
- 3rd place = 3 points
- 4th place = 1 point
- The top 2 players from each group advance to the final round, which is played under the same format.

Children’s Tournament
- Every child aged 3–13 years may participate.
- Participation is free of charge.
Qualification: Best Card
- Registration takes place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on site.
- Preliminary round: Best Card on 3 pinball machines.
Mode: Play in 2 Groups
- Division into 2 groups:
- For the Big German Children’s Champion
- For the Small German Children’s Champion
- The exact game format will be chosen depending on the number of children present.

Charity Tournament
GPO Charity Tournament
You can play the charity pinball machine all weekend long for a good cause, supporting a social project in Bielefeld.
This is a high score tournament without IFPA ranking. That means you don’t need to register – you can simply start playing and try to beat the high score!
The player who holds the Grand Champion title at the end of the event will receive a small surprise from the GPA as part of the raffle.
